"Let's Face it Friday" Challenge #28 - Holiday Recipes!

Hi crafty friends:

Today, I create a card for the Holiday Recipe Challenge on Peachy Keen Blog.  Click here for the complete details about the challenge.

The challenge consist in make a page or card holding your favorite holiday recipe.  I made a pocket card recipe.  I make cakes and one of my favorites is carrot cake. I like to prepare for Thanksgiving Day.

The carrot is cut @ 4'' and Critter Faces SET A Medium for the face of the carrot.

Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
3 cups grated carrot
1 cup walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp.  baking soda
1 tsp.  salt
¼ tsp. ground Ginger
Pinch old spice
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a bundt cake.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients:  flour, sugar, “baking soda”, salt, cinnamon, ginger and old spice.
  • In another bowl, combine eggs, oil and vanilla.  Combine with the dry ingredients.  Finally stir in the carrot and the walnuts. Pour evenly into the prepared pans.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until cake tests done with a toothpick. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. When completely cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting.  Enjoy!

Happy Day!
